In this fast-paced life, most people depend on anything and everything quick and easy. It is no wonder then that fast food plays a great role in everyday living. But even if they are not exactly made out of gourmet ingredients, these foods cooked and served in minutes are just as mouth-watering as famous culinary masterpieces.

Taking advantage of the popularity of burgers and fries, White Castle, one of the leading fast-food chains, created scented candles that resembled their hamburger packaging. The scent itself would make you think of White Castle and crave to get yourself a burger or two. Considering the number of customers they have, it was not a surprise that these candles sold out. But, aside from being great home additions, the candles were sold for a good cause. All of its proceeds would go to Autism Speaks. This is an organisation dedicated to promote awareness about autism and fund research for its treatment. The disorder can be treated better if its signs are recognised as early as possible.

White Castle deserves to be praised for their advocacy. One might think that selling candles is not so extraordinary, but it was the cause behind it that made it commendable. The company made use of their popularity to help make a difference in many lives. Autism does not affect just the patient but their entire family as well. To take that step to get involved in the fight against autism would help a lot of people. So, get yourself a White Castle burger-scented candle the next time it is available.
